Pandemic Ponderings

Well, it's been an interesting month of withdrawing into isolation...  this on the heels of Brian getting out of hospital for an intestinal rupture and peritonitis.  We'd just begun classes in March and this was truncated... Being one receiving messages from Spirit, I was nudged repeatedly to get in front of the camera and give some traditional teachings on the moon cycles - perhaps people will glean comfort and insights they might not otherwise have thought about.  Brian has even opened with a smudge ceremony in a couple of the videos...

Welcome! After some healing and contemplative time this winter we are pleased to offer courses for the period of March through June. There are new offerings like “EFT/tapping”, “Altered States of Consciousness”, as well as “Principles of House Clearing and Blessing”. We also have old favourites like dowsing [in two parts], psychospiritual development, and tea leaf reading on Mother’s Day.

Tapping/EFT – Tuesday March 10, 7 to 9:30 PM $25.00 “Emotional Freedom Technique” is enjoying a resurgence in the last few years, but in fact was founded in the 1980s as “TFT” or thought field therapy. During this evening we’ll go through the entire EFT process and I’ll give you some additional information not generally available.  You will come away knowing how to deal with a plethora of issues in this simple 3-minute routine.  Please bring a binder for the notes.

Psychic and Spiritual Development – Beginner – Mondays, March 2 to April 27 (inclusive) 7 PM to 9:30 PM, $200.00  It is a directed, formal study of clairvoyance, clairaudience, clairsentience, clairolfaction and psychokinesis through a variety of practices: levitation, spirit photography and recordings, learning to see the aura (aurvoyance), apparitions, psychometry, meditation, altered states of consciousness, psychomantium (scrying), out-of-body experiences, karma, phases of spiritual growth, types of spiritual beings, oracles and more. Mediumship techniques and channelling are practised weekly. Historic techniques and modern, scientific parameters are studied.

This is the most popular, intense and exciting of our courses. Developing psychically and spiritually go hand-in-hand, and happen in a safe format. This is not for the faint-of-heart; you must be ready to try mediumship, trance work, and psychokinetic practices. The beginner level works at a quick pace through the metaphysical basics to understand the possible paths of spiritual development, and acts as the foundation for the advanced level which focuses only on mediumship, trance work, healing, and meditation practices. Psychospiritual development is THE foundation for every other course we have taught, and ever will teach. This course changes people - be prepared for many new life experiences, and homework! Students are to bring to each class: a binder, pen, and PLEASE DO NOT WEAR PERFUME. Do dress comfortably. One must attend eight out of the nine classes to receive a certificate. Class size is limited – register with your payment early to ensure your space! 

Psychospiritual Development – Advanced – Thursdays March 5 to April 30 (inclusive) 7 PM to 9:30 PM $200.  For graduates of our Beginner development course, we are moving the channelling concepts forward. Topics include meditation, levitation, altered states of consciousness, ascension, séance, tarot, dream work and more. Students need to dress comfortably, and bring a binder.(Prerequisite: Beginner Level).

Altered States of Consciousness - Thursdays, May 7 to June 18, 7 PM to 9:30 PM, $200  Whether you read oracle cards or perform shamanic journeys, it’s important to understand how to elicit the appropriate altered state of consciousness.  This course covers the following aspects:

Ascension

Soul retrieval

Regression – past life, healing, addictions, etc.

Shamanic states of consciousness

Tarot, oracle and divination

Lucid dreaming incubation

Out-of-body experiences (OOBE’s)

Meditation and mindfulness practices

In each class we will cover one of the topics listed using demonstrations of specific techniques. There are myriad handouts, so you require a binder, and pen. Comfortable clothing is suggested for participation in exercises. Whether you are new to this concept or a seasoned veteran we will compare and contrast how all these various altered states work together.

Tea Leaf Reading “Tasseomancy” – Sunday, May 10, 1 PM to 4:30 PM $50. This year we’re again holding tea leaf reading on Mother’s Day – what a fun way to treat mom! We cover all the basics from the kind and types of cups to use, preparation of tea, symbols, interpretation protocols and much more! You will leave with a set of notes, charts of symbols and at least 2 readings. The last time we did this we had a blast. Limited to 8 participants.

Dowsing $175.00 (Inclusive)  Part 1 - Sunday, May 3, 9:30 AM to 4 PM.  We mentor students in the use of a single, suspended pendulum and 2 L-shaped dowsing rods.The weather should be warm enough to assure lots of practice outside doing geomantic dowsing, and beginning principles of radiesthetic dowsing for healing work.This class looks at ley lines, vortices and ghost paths.practice alphabets, orienteering techniques, compass work and more. Please bring a lunch, binder, pen, crystals, pendulums and L-rods if you have them.We have pendulums and L-rods at a nominal fee for those students who require them. Classes are limited to 10 participants - register early!

Part 2 - Sunday, May 24, 9:30 AM to 4 PM.  In this level we focus more on radiesthetic dowsing while reviewing the skills learned in geomantic dowsing. The whole day will be spent analyzing chakras, crystal layouts, haric points, and healing.  Everyone gets a chance to practise and receive healing through the day. Don’t forget your rods, crystals, pendulums, a binder, as well as your lunch. Classes are limited to 10 participants - register early!

Principles of House Clearing and Blessing – Sunday June 14, 1:00 to 4:30 PM $50.00  Home is where the heart is, but not if there are unpleasant energies or entities. This course is for our psychospiritual and shamanism students interested is learning parapsychological and shamanic protocols for alleviating emotional/etheric imprint. We address connecting with, and releasing, spirit entities. The analysis phase (equipment used) will be demonstrated. Please note that the principles apply to other buildings too! Bring a binder for notes.

Receipts are issued first night of class.  Classes fill quickly!  Payment can be made through the website (PayPal), Interac e-transfer (send to brian@moonstarlodge.com), cash or cheque (payable to "Rev. Autumn Classes and Events

Moonstar Lodge Autumn Newsletter – September, 2019

Greetings everyone,

Fastest summer I can remember - phew! We thought we’d better update everyone on the goings-on here at Moonstar… 

1.     Firstly, we’d like to extend an invitation for the Art Map Studio Tour and Bay Studio Tour weekend Friday, October 4, 5 & 6. We will be open 10 AM to 5 PM each day. Again this year Monica Ironside will be joining us on Saturday and Sunday.  We’ve changed the studio set up and are offering incredible discounts on some of the older jewelry items. Brian is working on more “God boxes”, platters/charcuterie boards, funky pens and some additional wood-art pieces.  We’d be delighted to have you join us…

2.     As of September 8th we are returning to individual spiritual counselling (including regression); channeling, tarot and oracle sessions; weddings and funerals, individual healing and shamanic services [soul retrieval and healing]. Feel free to make your booking.

3.     Classes this term steer the teaching toward shamanism.  Here they are:

Crystals:  Learn the application of crystals to the chakras and journeying, within the context of aboriginal traditions. This is a prerequisite for Shamanism. Topics covered include: crystal categories, cleansing and preparation; various prayers and meditations using crystals; totem animals; making crystal essences; combining crystals and the chakras; dowsing; traditional scrying methods; the pendulum; healing rods; and care of your stones.  No workshop on crystals would be complete without healing demonstrations, so dress comfortably.  Please bring lunch, a binder, pen, and whatever crystals you possess.  Sunday, Sept. 22, 9:30 AM to 4 PM $90

Aboriginal Healing:  A basic course - we look at the medicine wheel, moon cycle aspects, uses of traditional medicine objects of the northeast, and the basic healing rituals that a medicine person performs.  Bring notebooks, crystals and whatever healing objects you have.  Wear comfortable clothing as we’ll be doing healings. This is an important prerequisite to the Shamanism program.  Bring lunch, a binder, and snacks.   Sunday, Oct. 20 9:30 AM to 4 PM $90

Shamanism:  We are offering these teachings to those who are certain that this is part of their path.  These studies are meant for people of all races, creeds and religions, but like any other spiritual study, this is not for everyone.  This workshop covers shamanic practices of the northeast, and topics include: sacred medicine objects and their use, ethics, healing traditions, ceremonies, correct use of spirit herbs, dream walking, spirit walking, totem animals, and shapeshifting.  Be prepared to bring whatever medicine/sacred objects you have, along with a drum. Bring lunch, a binder, and snacks.   Sunday, Nov.3 9:30 AM to 4 PM ^$90

Tarot and Oracles (updated) – I can’t have a term without tarot and oracles!  This is always a fun afternoon to review the differences between tarot decks and oracle formats. It’s important to learn the right way to ask questions, and focus within to our higher self. What does it really mean to “read cards”? We will review this…  Reversed cards? Not an issue and not scary!! We will work with various new oracle cards and divination types and everyone comes away with a reading by a fellow student. This version of the class has some classic tableau layouts to review.  We also discuss care, handling and cleansing cards. Bring a binder for handouts. Seating is limited so register early.  Feel free to bring your own decks, and a snack to share. Sunday, Nov. 24 1 PM to 4:30 PM $50.00

4.     Open House – our annual event is being held Saturday, November 30 and Sunday, December 1, from 10 AM to 5 PM.  We’re not sure what the door prize will be, but we’re working on it!

5.     Winter Solstice Gathering – one of our most loved events, we gather on Sunday, December 22 at 1 PM until 4 PM. It is a potluck, and you need to bring an object to “re-home” in a plain bag – something which you no longer need and wish to pass on the energy.  We speak to the season with the talking stick. This is an opportunity for great spiritual exchange. For further information email me! Registration is essential to hold a seat as space is limited.
